We are all created in God’s image

I believe what the Bible says regarding creation, including the creation of mankind.

Both evolution and creation require faith to believe them because no one was present to observe either and neither is fully reproducible today.

Nothing comes from nothing, but when you look at the biblical evidence, everything comes from God.

Evolution says man and animals come from the same source, therefore, they are basically the same and equal in value. It also says that animals came first, so man is an intruder and the cause of ecological problems.

God’s word says that all of creation has its source in God as the creator, but man is created in a special way as the image-bearer of God.

We alone are created in the likeness of God. All of creation brings God glory, but man has a special capacity to relate to God on a personal level.

In Genesis 9:5-6, we see that the taking of human life and the taking of animal life are very different. God places a higher value on human life than on animal life.

This is not an excuse for cruelty to animals or wasteful abuses of God’s creation; however, it does help us understand matter of priority in the issues of life.

When we look at the 39 years of the legalized abortion debate, we can see a devaluing of human life while at the same time an increasing valuing of animal life. According to the Bible, this is very backward. I want to encourage every praying person to pray for our nation in this critical matter of life.

Pray for our upcoming elections and be a good citizen and express your worldview through your vote.
