COVE - Just two concerts ahead of their latest United Kingdom tour, the always popular Tiller's Folly is returning to Cove.

For over a decade, Tiller's Folly, based out of Greater Vancouver, Canada, has been captivating audiences with their music, stories and smoking live shows.

From the dynamic vocals, driving acoustic guitar and classic songwriting of Bruce Coughlan, through the wild, virtuoso layers of creative color added by award-winning multi-instrumentalist, Nolan Murray, to the solid driving foundation laid down by bassist and vocalist, Laurence Knight, Tiller's Folly is a high-energy acoustic roots music experience like no other.

This fall, Tiller's Folly is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the release of its sixth CD, "A River So Wide." This CD presents Tiller's Folly at the top of its game musically and creatively. It features 10 new tunes.

"A River So Wide" also features illustrious guests, including Grammy award-winning keyboard player Larry Knechtel (Simon and Garfunkel, Elvis, Dixie Chicks), vocalist John Cowan (New Grass Revival, Doobie Brothers, John Cowan Band) and co-producer, mixing wizard Stephen Drake (The Odds, Tragically Hip, Nelly Furtado), joining the core band of Coughlan, Murray and Knight.

Murray, a La Grande native, has become one of the most in-demand multi-instrumentalists in the Northwest, having toured, performed and recorded with many top Canadian and American artists.

Murray performs on fiddle, mandolin, five-string banjo, viola, guitar and vocals for Tiller's Folly."

Murray's own band "String ‘Em Up" won them the International Bluegrass World Championship in 1997.

He has, throughout his career, garnered numerous awards for his stellar musicianship. Murray brought his dynamic musical talent to Tiller's Folly in 2001 during the recording of "A Ripple In Time."
