According to David Pack of Ambrosia magazine, "Linn has an acquisitively soulful and rich voice that draws me in every time I hear her. She has a palette of vocal colors that can cover any musical canvas. Garoutte, formerly of La Grande, studied with jazz guitarists Larry Adair, Marv Lundblade and John Stowell. Of late, he has been at work writing and arranging new original songs for solo guitar. These new songs reflect his growth as a composer for solo guitar utilizing more new tunings that allow for some beautiful sonorities and compelling rhythms. Fine hors d'oeuvres will be served by Class Act Catering. The evening's menu includes Korean barbecue beef, marinated chicken, sausage cheese wontons, stuffed mushrooms, bacon-wrapped chestnuts, hot artichoke and spinach dips, as well as other savory delights. On the sweet side, there will be a chocolate fountain with angel food cake and fruit for dipping. Diners will finish with rich, chocolate Kahlua cups and lemon bars. |
