HIGH SCHOOL ARTISTS SHINE AT EXHIBITION

LA GRANDE - The Nightingale Gallery would like to congratulate the following award winners from the 2007 Eastern Oregon Regional High School Art Exhibition.

The Eastern Oregon University art program presented two University Scholar Awards to the best 2D and 3D work by area high school seniors.

These awards come with a $1,500 renewable scholarship to study art at EOU.

All Best of Show and Honorable Mention winners received an award certificate and a sketchbook in which to con-tinue to hone their skills.

The exhibition runs through Wednesday at the gallery in Loso Hall. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Corey Peeke, gallery director and assistant professor of art and art history, said Nightingale Gallery would also like to express its appreciation to the following area teachers who do a fantastic job with scant resources and who went out of their way to make sure their students' work was included in the exhibit.
