MUSICIANS PLAY, ICE CREAM BECKONS IN BAND'S FINALE

A picnic-in-the-park event is the final concert of the year for the Monday Night Concert Band.

Under the direction of Jim Howell, the band concert starts at 6:30 p.m. Monday in front of Loso Hall on the Eastern Oregon University campus and is free to the public. Donations will be accepted.

Free ice cream sundaes will be served by the Eastern Oregon Regional Arts Council, which has taken the band under its wing.

Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and a picnic to the event.
