PATRIOTIC SONGS

LA GRANDE

Like that old-time barbershop sound? The Blue Mountain Barbershoppers will perform two concerts Saturday in McKenzie Theatre on the campus of Eastern Oregon University.

Performances of This is Our Country will begin at 2:30 and 7 p.m. with traditional patriotic songs and some less familiar ones.

The A Cappella Choir of

La Grande High School, under the direction of Michael Frasier, will also participate, along with two quartets and the Barbershop Chorus under the direction of Jerry Schacher, The Laudable Audibles and The Lost Chords.

Tickets, at $5, are available at Sunflower Books, McGlasson's and the EOU bookstore, as well as from members of the Blue Mountain Barbershoppers. Tickets at the door will be $7.

The group provides an annual scholarship for students at EOU and plans to make a financial contribution to

the LHS choir's New York

tour.
