The Nightingale Gallery of Eastern Oregon University is pleased to present an exhibition of an installation by 2007 EOU graduate Cody Bloom.

The exhibition will run May 2 through 23 in conjunction with This is the Last Thing You’ll Ever See, the senior capstone exhibition of Lisa Greif, Lucas Kruse and Risa Ubagai (see Page 12).

There will be an opening reception honoring all the artists Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gallery. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bloom’s work addresses ideas about the complexity of human interaction/communication.

The exhibit is designed to explore ideas about human interaction and the circulation of information.

Originally from Alaska, Cody Bloom received his B.S. degree from Eastern Oregon University in 2007. Work from his capstone exhibit was purchased by the university in 2007 to become part of the EOU permanent collection. Bloom exhibits regionally and has recently accepted a position in the University of Delaware’s graduate program in art. He hopes to complete his MFA degree in 2010.

The Nightingale Gallery is very pleased to be able to present the work of this promising young local artist, Gallery Director Cory Peeke said.

The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

For more information about the exhibition call the gallery, 962-3667 or on the web at www.eou.edu/art/nightingale/NighingaleGallery.html .
