STUDENT-MADE VIDEO ON LEWIS & CLARK TO BE SHOWN TUESDAY AT OK THEATRE
|
ENTERPRISE Enterprise School students who produced a documentary about the Lewis and Clark expedition will premiere their video soon. "The Lewis and Clark Legacy" will be shown at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the OK Theatre. The program will include students performing musical renditions of songs from the Lewis and Clark expedition. Several of Mrs. Fischer's fifth-grade class will be dressed in the buckskin outfits they wore in the film and will share their experiences of "living" the role of members of the Corps of Discovery. In their unique study of American history, each student assumed the identity of an actual expedition corps member for several weeks. Each student researched his or her person, and recorded in a journal, their reactions to circumstances which they faced along the vicarious journey. Forms will be available to order a copy of the video. Proceeds from the sales will be shared by the fifth grade class and the Enterprise High School video production class, who shot the video. The U.S. Forest Service's Wallowa Mountains Visitor Center were partners with the class in making the video. The program is sponsored by the Northwest Interpretive Association. |
