LA GRANDE - Sign up deadline is Wednesday for a film project Cold Coffee Media is organizing. The film project will take place the week of Aug. 18-22, with a premiere of the films Friday, Aug. 22 at 10:30 p.m. This is in collaboration with the Crossing the Blues: La Grande Summer Festival. If you are interested in film, please sign up and be a part of a team. Whether you want to act, write, direct, edit, sound design or produce, you can be a part of a great experience. By signing up you will be notified for a meeting with all those interested. Teams will be created from that pool of talent. You can sign up and read more at www.crossingtheblues.com/film.php . The entire group of participants will meet for a gathering Saturday, Aug. 16 at which point teams will be made. There will be four elected team captains (out of those interested in directing). Those four will put together a team of filmmakers from the remaining participants. All participants will be involved in some facet. All contact information and scheduling information will be addressed at the meeting. Monday morning at 8 the teams’ specific film criteria will be announced. From that point the team will have the week to write, shoot and edit the film. The films will be premiered after the music Friday night, Aug. 22 at Max Square. Resources will vary, but will be available. Local business owners are encouraged to support the filmmakers with access to location and resources as well. This is a great opportunity to get creative with the production to create a 15-minute film on a shoe-string budget.
