GPS CLASS OFFERED IN LA GRANDE JUNE 8

Northeast Oregon residents will have an opportunity to learn about the basics of using global positioning systems next weekend. Two GPS classes will be conducted via the Think Link Discovery Museum in La Grande on June 8. Following are the two two-hour classes: • Using Your GPS The course is for those who have a GPS unit and need instruction on how to use it. The class will meet from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Union County Search and Rescue bus behind the Joseph and Chaplin buildings. Students will learn how to navigate a course set up by Union County Search and Rescue. • Introduction to GPS The class is for those who are interested in learning how to use a GPS but do not own a unit. Students will meet from 10 a.m. to noon at the Union County Search and Rescue bus behind the Chaplin Building. Both classes will be taught by Bob Nelson of Cove, a GPS user. Cost: $5 for each class.
