Three arrested in connection with large burglary
Three people were arrested Saturday in Umatilla by a Union County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force Detective in connection to a large Union County burglary.
Sean T. Pen, 25, Valerie Sheline, 22, and Steven Arsenault, 23, were arrested in connection to a July 26 burglary following an extensive investigation, according to police. A fourth subject was also interviewed.
Pen was lodged in the Union County Jail and faces charges of aggravated theft, second-degree burglary and aggravated theft by receiving, according to police. Pen also faces charges in Umatilla County. Sheline was lodged in the Union County Jail on arrest warrants. Arsenault, also lodged in the jail, faces charges of aggravated theft by receiving.
Other charges may be pending against Pen, Arsenault and others, police say.
Police recovered three firearms and other property from the July 26 burglary .
The investigation involved help from the Umatilla Police Department, Hermiston Police Department and the Kennewick, Wash. Police Department. Detectives from Umatilla County's drug task force also assisted.
According to a press release, the Union County Sheriff's Office also received valuable information and help from concerned citizens.
