ATTORNEY RETURNS TO SOLO PRACTICE

La Grande attorney Cory Larvik has left the firm of Mautz Baum and O'Hanlon to return to solo practice.

He has moved into offices at the West Jacobsen Building, 115 Elm St., Suite 13. His phone number is 663-8864.

His general practice will include criminal and civil cases, business, real estate, estate planning, employment.

Larvik, who graduated in 1998 from the University of Oregon Law School after earning a bachelor's degree in English and writing from Eastern Oregon University, joined Mautz Baum and O'Hanlon in May 2001. He was 24th in his law school graduating class of 180, he said.

"I've been on my own before and I've worked in large and small firms, and I like being in private practice best," Larvik said.

Larvik worked for a year for the law firm of Kell, Alterman and Runstein in Portland, doing mostly business, corporate and estate planning.

He had his own practice in Hillsboro for a year and a half, doing various types of litigation.

When he came to La Grande, his main cases mostly involved various types of litigation, three-fourths civil and some criminal.

The La Grande native, the son of Ron and Chloe Larvik, was active in drama and band as well as cross country and track and field at La Grande High School.
