BANK NAMES NEW MANAGERS

The La Grande branch of Community Bank has a new assistant vice president and manager.

Bart Kleng, a graduate of Oregon State University who has lived most of his life in La Grande, has been hired to fill the position.

Kleng has more than seven years of bank managership experience, said Community Bank President Bruce Penoske.

Kleng's emphasis has been on community service, Penoske said.

Penoske also announced that Marlene Greer has been hired as a Community Bank assistant vice president and manager of the bank's branch in Union.

She has lived and worked in Union nearly her entire life, Penoske said. She has more than 25 years of banking experience.

Greer's knowledge of the Union and Cove area will be beneficial in the continued growth of Community Bank in the Union Market, Penoske said.

The previous manager in La Grande, Paula Moisio, returned to Kansas, where her husband, Craig, got a job.

Yvonne Roberts relinquished the managership of the Union branch to stay at home in Union with her children.

The La Grande branch of the Joseph-based bank opened in July 1998. The Union branch opened its doors in April 2000.

The bank has 11 offices in Baker, Umatilla, Union and Wallowa counties.
