COMPANY SALES SUPPORT LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT

Stone Circle, a small bead shop at 1904 Adams Ave., donated part of its Sept. 11 sales to the La Grande Fire Department.

Instead of giving its usual discounts for that day, the firm, owned by Nan Andrews-Howe, set the funds aside to honor the firefighters.

The company donated $55 to the local department. The money is to be used to make the new station "a bit more comfortable," she said.
