DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE JOINS NATIONAL BOARD
ENTERPRISE Lisa Lang, executive director of the Northeast Oregon Economic Development District for 13 years, has been elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Development Organizations.
Lang will represent associate members on the board and will help determine the association's policies and priorities for the coming year.
She will assume her duties when the board meets Oct. 1 in Reno, Nev.
The national organization, founded in 1967, is the largest and leading advocate for a regional approach to community, economic and rural development.
It provides technical assistance and publications for rural, community and economic development professionals and policy makers. It's research foundation conducts research on issues such as small business finance and entrepreneurship.
