EMPLOYER CHILD CARE FORUM SET FOR MONDAY

The Union County Work Zone Task Force will sponsor a child care forum for local business owners and managers on Monday.

It will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. at City Hall in Island City, 10605 Island Avenue. Lunch will be provided at no charge.

Marie Hoeven, executive director for Children First for Oregon, will discuss the employer's role and benefits in child care, focusing on small company success stories, strategies and failures.

Jean Johnson, team leader for Child Care Resource and Referral, will identify resources and characteristics of child care in Union County.

Foley Station, Best Western Rama Inn, Training and Employment Consortium and Region 13 Workforce Investment Board are sponsoring the event.
