GROUP OFFERS ADVICE, HELP FOR NEW BUSINESS VENTURES

Then perhaps the Union County Economic Development Corporation, a private group promoting business in the county, has the answer for you.

UCEDC's small business assistance team not only can provide advice and nurturing for start-up businesses, it may be able to help with the rent, too.

In cooperating with the Eastern Oregon University Small Business Development Center, UCEDC is beginning a small business incubator program for new and expanding businesses in the county.

This group promises to provide training and support in necessary business skills to early-stage companies, to help the business become self-sufficient and profitable.

It can even provide a start-up location in an incubator building UCEDC is managing near the Union County Airport.

Those choosing to locate there can receive subsidized rents, progressively receiving subsidies leading to independence and economic stability.

The building has an office area that can be shared by the various tenants. There are spaces for individual businesses and there is parking for tenants and their clients.
