SEASONED JOURNALIST JOINS OBSERVER

Bill Rautenstrauch has joined The Observer news staff as business editor and city government reporter.

Rautenstrauch, 54, worked as a sports writer and general assignment reporter for The Observer while attending college in La Grande in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

He has also worked as a journalist for the Klamath Falls Herald and News and the Wallowa County Chieftain.

Rautenstrauch moves to La Grande from Enterprise.
