WILLIAMS, BATTY JOIN US BANK
U.S. Bank recently announced the addition of key personnel to its staff serving Eastern Oregon.
Steve Williams of Baker City has joined the bank as vice president and business banking team leader for Eastern Oregon, and Shelley Batty, La Grande, has joined the home mortgage operation as a mortgage loan officer.
In his new role, Williams will oversee business banking operations in La Grande, Elgin, Baker City, Halfway, John Day, Pendleton, Athena, Milton-Freewater and Hermiston.
Previously, Williams was vice president and team leader for Community Bank. Before that, he was at U.S. Bank as vice president and district manager, loan officer and assistant manager.
Williams is a graduate of Oregon State University and Northwest Intermediate Banking School.
He currently serves as a board member for the Rotary Club, a secretary for Baker County Unlimited, as well as vice president of the Baker County Ambassadors.
Batty, meanwhile, is responsible for the origination of conventional, FHA, VA and residential mortgage loans for Eastern Oregon. She will oversee operations in La Grande, Elgin, Baker City, Halfway, John Day, Pendleton, Athena, Milton-Freewater and Hermiston.
Previously, Batty was a senior loan officer for Commonwealth United Mortgage. Before that, she was an associate broker and senior officer for Northwest Mortgage Broker, and a mortgage banker for U.S. Bank.
Batty began her career in the financial industry as an office manager for Key Bank of Oregon and Idaho.
Batty attended Boise State University and graduated from the American Institute of Banking.
She is also active in her community. She volunteers as a Sunday school teacher for the First Presbyterian Church, and is a 4-H horse leader. She is also an assistant Webelos den leader for Cub Scouts.
