BRIEFLY: Boy Scouts recycle Christmas trees
Boy Scout Troop 511 will be recycling Christmas trees from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 28 and Jan. 4. The trees will be used at Ladd Marsh for wildlife improvement projects.
Trees may be dropped off at the Walmart parking lot on the above dates and times. Tree pick-up is available by calling 541-975-2000. The cost is $4 per tree for drop-offs and $6 per tree for pick-up service. There is an additional charge of $6 per tree for tinsel. People are asked to consider supporting the Boy Scouts and local wildlife if they need to dispose of their Christmas tree.
