Sixth-grader Garett Crawford and eighth-grader Maree Gottfried, both of Elgin, were among about 200 people who gathered in Elgin for a candlelight service and parade to honor and remember those affected by the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. Elgins fifth-grade class and Future Business Leaders of America organized the event.
