City council sets date for evidentiary hearing
The long-running legal fight involving a trucking company owned by Jon Fregulia is back in the hands of the Island City City Council.
The city council on Monday set Aug. 25 as the date for an evidentiary hearing for the case. Evidence will be presented by supporters and opponents of the truck company. Opponents of the firm have argued that the city council did not have the right to allow the trucking company to operate in a residential zone with a home occupation permit.
This decision was then appealed by opponents of the trucking firm to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals.
