During its regular meeting Wednesday, the Union County Board of Commissioners will consider a resolution setting 2009 Buffalo Peak Golf Course rates.

The rates were reviewed and recommended by the golf course advisory committee. In accordance with a loan agreement with the Oregon Economic and Community Development Department, they were submitted to that state agency for approval.

The resolution sets season pass rates at $600 for a single pass, $800 for a couple or family and $500 for seniors. The passes allow unlimited play.

The price for cart passes is set at $1,175 for a single cart combination, $1,425 for a couple cart combination. Season pass holders without the combination package are charged $9 a seat.

The golf rates resolution is included on a full agenda for the meeting, which gets under way at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ conference room at 1106 K Avenue.

The board will meet with Rick Robinson of Bagett, Griffith and Blackman to discuss the Rose Ridge subdivision plat.

Also, Sheriff Boyd Rasmussen is scheduled to update the board on the jail facility, and Assessor Linda Hill will submit a vehicle bid recommendation.

Among administrative matters, the board is to consider appointments to the planning commission, the Union County Economic Development Corp. Board of Directors, and the renewable energy advisory committee.

Still other items include a discretionary fund recommendation, a cooperative grant agreement with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, an operating agreement on the new transportation hub and an update on the proposed Cove-Union-North Powder Health District.
