DAGGETT'S CONDITION REMAINS UNCHANGED
By The Observer
As difficult as it is for family and friends of Amy Daggett, the wait outside the intensive care unit continues.
Daggett, 20, of Elgin remains this morning in critical condition in the St. Alphonsus Medical Center Intensive Care Unit in Boise. Her condition, a hospital spokeswoman said, hasnt changed since she was admitted Dec. 11 following a head-on collision with a loaded log truck along Highway 82 north of Island City.
The Daggett family is maintaining a hotel room near the hospital to be near Amy. To help with the familys expenses and cover other costs associated with the medical care, a fund for donations has been set up at Pioneer Bank in La Grande. Donations can be sent to the bank or dropped off there.
