“Scholastic Spooning: How Does Literature Undress Itself?” Tuesday from
6 to 9 p.m. in Zabel Hall on the EOU campus.
During this meeting, students will present their inquiry projects as part of two sets of concurrent panels.
Inquiry topics include romance literature, gender and reading,
dangerous literature, tabloid impact on body image, journalistic
objectivity, the Twilight phenomenon, interest in reading, the death of
the newspaper, crossword puzzles, Palauan storyboards, why writers
write, teaching reading, and the competition between reading and visual
media such as TV and video games.
Audience members will be invited to participate in the public dialogue about these important topics.
This event is free and open to the public. Parking on campus after 5 p.m. is also free.
