JOSEPH — Joseph High School’s award-winning Thespian Troupe will present its fall production of “Go Ask Alice’’ by Frank Shiras Thursday through Saturday.

The play is based on the book of the same name. The book was first published in 1971 as a diary by an anonymous 15-year-old girl who unwittingly encounters the drug culture in her small university town. The playwright, while staying true to the major events in the book, focuses on Alice, her family and the “trip’’ that changed their lives  forever.

The large cast includes Ali Garrett as Alice Aberdeen; Darian Glover and Marc Duncan as her parents, Helen and Douglas Aberdeen; Felicity Gross and Max Greenway as her younger sister and brother, Alexandria and Tim; Mia Ritter-Whittle as Beth; Jonae Schoen as Chris; Tiffeni Weaver as Marge; DaLynn Roberts as Jan; Sophia Jerneld as Jill; Anna Bird as Gloria; Ann Williamson as Dr. Miller; and Casey Hayes as Joel. Megan Kozowski, Pipaluk Kleemann and Paige Hunting participate as party attendees.

Assisting Directors Pam Latta and Richelle Chitwood are aided backstage by Brooke Meyer, Austin Meyer and Michael Thomas.

Performances will be held on the Joseph High School stage at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and senior citizens. Parents are cautioned that this play is not suitable for small children.
