INJURED MEN REMAIN CRITICAL
A La Grande accident victim and a hitchhiker wounded by gunshot and left near Perry last weekend both remain in critical condition this morning at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
A hospital spokeswoman said this morning that Alex Kuehn, 28, is being treated in the intensive care unit. Kuehn was a passenger in a Jeep Cherokee driven by Wallace Hansell Sunday night when the vehicle rolled multiple times along eastbound Interstate 84. Hansell, 48, was killed in the accident.
Oregon State Police said Tuesday that the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
Also in the intensive care unit in critical condition is Russell George Wilcoxson, 19, of Tacoma, who was found shot Saturday afternoon along a road near Upper Perry.
Law officers are trying to find anyone who may have seen Wilcoxson between Boise and Upper Perry between July 4 and July 6. Anyone with information is asked to call Dept. Jim Voelz or Sgt. Phil Myer at 963-1017.
