Joseph woman in critical condition after jumping from moving car

ENTERPRISE — A 38-year-old Joseph woman was seriously hurt Friday when she jumped from a moving vehicle on Highway 82 near Enterprise.

The Wallowa County Sheriff’s office said that Wendy Bliss and her husband, Bill Bliss, 48, Joseph, were traveling on the highway near milepost 67 when they had an argument. Wendy Bliss reportedly jumped from the vehicle as Bill Bliss was turning it around.

Wendy Bliss was initially treated at Wallowa Memorial Hospital, then transferred by air ambulance to Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane.

She was listed in critical but stable condition there this morning.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
