 Tom R. Bobbitt Two Union County men were arrested last week following a two-month undercover drug investigation that led to the seizure of more than 8 pounds of marijuana, cash and firearms.
Last Thursday, Oregon State Police detectives arrested Calvin Perry Kiesecker, 67, at the Flying J Truck Stop in Union County.
The OSP said Kiesecker, of La Grande, was the subject of an undercover drug investigation and was arrested after selling 10 ounces of marijuana. He was charged with unlawful delivery of marijuana and lodged in the Union County jail.
The ongoing investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at 1309 Fourth St. in La Grande, the OSP said.
There, detectives arrested Tom R. Bobbitt, 55, after locating more than 8 pounds of marijuana, approximately $11,000 in cash and three firearms at the residence.
 More than 8 pounds of marijuana, cash and firearms were seized in last week’s bust. - Photo/OREGON STATE POLICE Bobbitt was lodged in the Union County jail on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful delivery of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, and unlawful manufacture of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.
Oregon State Police Detective Dan Conner, who is assigned to the Baker County Narcotics Enforcement Team, was the lead investigator in the case.
He was assisted by uniformed officers from the Union County Sheriff's Office and the La Grande Police Department. An officer from the Multi-Agency Enforcement Response and Interdiction Team also assisted.
