ENTERPRISE — An Oregon Public Broadcasting film crew will be in Enterprise to film an event Thursday evening. Videographer Gwen Trice of Enterprise will describe her project researching the history of the African American logging camp known as Maxville, north of Wallowa. Trice’s father and grandfather lived and worked at Maxville. The presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at Stage One in the EM&M Building north of the county courthouse. The OPB film crew plans to film the interaction between Trice and other Wallowa County residents. The Thursday courthouse concert runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m., so concertgoers can simply cross the street to take in Trice’s event. The Wallowa County Rotary Club invites the public to meet Trice and learn about the project. The Rotary Club will provide refreshments and dessert. |
