PGG makes deal to sell retail stores
The three stores will not be closing. It will continue to be business as usual, Maddee Moore, a spokesperson for PGG, said.
“The employees will still be staying on,” Moore said.
The Island City location employs 28 people, while PGG has one employee in Joseph, Moore said.
Moore said the buyer of the locations will not be released until final negotiations and conditions are completed. The timeline is for the first of October, she said.
PGG also announced it will close its Pendleton Automotive Service Center today and its retail stores in Pendleton, Athena and Milton-Freewater by early September.
Final negotiations on the Hermiston, Island City and Joseph locations will tentatively begin in early fall, Moore said.
“We’re very positive in this transition,” Moore said.
