Report: cause of death was drowning following crash
ENTERPRISE — Two people were killed and three injured in a vehicle crash Thursday on Crow Creek Road northwest of Enterprise.
A report from Wallowa County District Attorney Mona Williams said the cause of death of Sean Alan Dean, 21 and Barry Lee Anderson, 23, was drowning after a pickup truck driven by Dean crashed into a power pole and landed in Prairie Creek. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Dean attended Enterprise High School and was living in Bothell, Wash., at the time of the accident. Anderson was living in Enterprise.
Three other passengers were treated for injuries. Myranda McFetridge, 19 of Enterprise, was flown to Boise, Idaho, the night of the crash. James Cade Steen, 22, and Dyland Leland Stephens, 22, were treated for injuries at Wallowa Memorial Hospital and released.
Williams said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
“Toxicology reports and possible charges will be made public at the conclusion of the investigation,"
“The Driver would have been our suspect."
Wallowa County’s Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police, Wallowa County Medical Examiner and the Wallowa County District Attorney’s Office are participating in an ongoing investigation.
