Round-Up picks queen; Willis serves as princess

The Pendleton Round-Up Association announced that Shaina Zollman of Pendleton will reign as queen of the 104th annual Pendleton Round-Up.

The 2014 queen and court were announced last month during an introduction breakfast at the home of Dr. Doug Corey, DVM, where court members met each other together for the first time. The event was attended by Zollman and princesses Kylie Willis of Enterprise, Crystal Mitchell, an Eastern Oregon University student from Pendleton, Kylee Jensen of Pilot Rock and Katy West of Athena.

Princess Kylie is the 18-year-old daughter of Craig and Candi Willis of Enterprise. Her great-grandfather, Harley Tucker, was a founder of the Chief Joseph Days, for which Kylie served as 2012 queen. Kylie graduated from Enterprise High School, where she was active in sports and served as an officer in student government, FFA and the National Honor Society.

She now attends Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, majoring in radiographic science. Her family’s Round-Up connections are vast. Grandfather Harley was a stock contractor, her grandmother Bonnie a rodeo secretary. Kylie’s mother, grandmother, and some aunts and cousins, have all served on the Pendleton Round-Up Court. “I am honored to represent the most famous rodeo in the world,” Kylie said. “It means so much for me to continue one of the greatest traditions in my family.”
