A funeral service for Daniel Rama, 28, of Baker City has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Nazarene Church in Baker City. The Forest Service's Judy Wing, who is coordinating Forest Service participation in the services, said the service will be a community event and a potluck lunch will follow.

The service for Retha Shirley, 19, of La Grande will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joseph High School. Burial will be in Prairie Creek Cemetery.

As of early today the service for Bartholomew Bailey, 20, of Baker City had not been announced.

The two other victims, from the John Day Grayback base, are Jacob Martindale, 20, of Boise and Zach Zigich, 19, of Twin Falls, Idaho. Services are pending for both.

The remains of the five firefighters will arrive at the Northeast Interagency Fire Center at 1:30 p.m. today. A ceremony is planned.

One La Grande firefighter, Anthony Kyle, 32, remained hospitalized Tuesday in Colorado, with a broken leg and fluid on his lungs. Brandon Fiala, 20, had been moved to University Hospital in Salt Lake City for orthopedic surgery. He was listed in fair condition this morning.

Four firefighters, Megan Helm, 21, Patrick Shorre, 25, both of La Grande; Jason Staten, 20, of Baker City, and Robert Heins from the John Day base, have been released from the hospital.
