SUNDAY ROLLOVER CLAIMS LA GRANDE MAN
Wallace Hansell, 48, of La Grande was killed Sunday night when his 1999 Jeep Cherokee rolled multiple times along Interstate 84.
According to Union County Chief Deputy District Attorney Janie Burcart, Hansell was the driver of the eastbound Jeep when it apparently didn't make a right-hand curve near Milepost 264, near the interchange with Highway 203.
Burcart said Oregon State Police reported the Jeep crossed the median when the accident occurred at approximately 10 p.m.
A passenger in the Jeep, Alex Kuehn, 28, of La Grande, was transported by ambulance to Grande Ronde Hospital and later flown to Boise. No report on his condition was available this morning.
Hansell was a La Grande barber who celebrated his birthday Friday.
