Citizens attending the 15th Annual Avenue of Flags at Grandview Cemetery bow their heads during the closing prayer Monday. The ceremony included a call to colors by Tim Blaylock, presentation of colors by the Oregon National Guard, welcome and introductions by Allen Rainsberry, Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army, retired, speaker Roger Cochran and a closing prayer by D.S. Arnott III.

Audria Simonis of La Grande, daughter of Rick and Cindy Simonis, sings the National Anthem at the Memorial Day ceremony. The event is sponsored by American Legion Post 43, Veterans of Foreign Wars 2990 and 4060, Disabled Veterans of America Chapter #21 and Sons of the American Legion Sqd. 43.
