Turner questions Barreto's latest ad campaign
Ads focus on Pendleton candidate’s stance on illegal immigrants, driver’s cards
John Turner believes a line has been crossed, and the former U.S. Marine colonel said he has had enough.
Turner, one of the Republican candidates for Oregon House District 58, is turning his ire at his opponent — Greg Barreto — over a series of ads that showed up in mailboxes and newspapers this past weekend. The mailer and newspaper ads take issue with what Barreto believes is Turner’s stance on illegal immigrants.
“Somehow in this latest attack, Greg Barreto has crossed the line in decency,” Turner said. “It’s pretty disgusting.”
