Narcotics, marijuana seized during police search, investigation
A Union man was arrested Wednesday on various drug-related charges following a search executed by the Union/Wallowa County Drug Task Force.
John William Reisner, 43, faces various felony drug-related charges, according to a press release from the task force.
Detectives from the Union County Sheriff’s Office and the La Grande Police Department served a search warrant at Reisner’s address at 56193 Highway 237, two miles south of Union, about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday.
The search warrant was granted as a result of a drug investigation that began earlier that day, according to law enforcement officials.
Narcotics and a “substantial” quantity of marijuana were recovered as evidence.
Law enforcement officials said they could not release more information Friday morning because the case remains under investigation. However, according to police logs, Reisner was charged with possession of oxycodone at the time of his arrest.
Reisner was lodged at the Union County Correctional Facility.
The Union/Wallowa County Drug Task Force is made up of officers and deputies from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, the La Grande Police Department, the Wallowa County Sheriff’s Department and the Enterprise Police Department.
