Walden stops in Enterprise Sunday, La Grande Monday

Congressman Greg Walden will stop in La Grande and Enterprise during a swing through Eastern Oregon Sunday and Monday. Walden, R-Ore., plans to address Union County Republicans at a breakfast meeting at 8 a.m. Monday at the Flying J Travel Center. He will update those attending on recent political events. After that, Walden will move on to Eastern Oregon University for a 9:45 a.m. meeting with President Bob Davies, university vice presidents and foundation officers. Walden’s visit to the region kicks off in Baker City with a 10:30 a.m. Sunday meeting with local business leaders at the Geiser Grand Hotel. He will deliver a congressional update and discuss the current economic climate.From Baker City, the congressman travels to Enterprise. At 2:30 p.m. Sunday, he will meet with Wallowa County commissioners for an update on local issues and a discussion of federal issues affecting the county. Walden has been invited to attend the Wallowa County Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet at 4 p.m. at Cloverleaf Hall in Enterprise. In addition to La Grande on Monday, Walden will visit Pendleton and Boardman.
