Gribling, Fulton, Denmark



Melissa B. Gribling

La Grande


Melissa B. Gribling, 31, of La Grande, died at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise Wednesday.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 21 at Faith Lutheran Church.

A full obituary will be published later. Loveland Funeral Chapel & Crematory will be handling the arrangements.



Walter ‘Buzz’ Fulton

La Grande


Walter “Buzz” Fulton, 93, of La Grande, died at Grande Ronde Hospital Feb. 7. A viewing will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 19 at Loveland Funeral Chapel. A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Oregon National Guard Armory/Blue Mountain Conference Center. A full obituary will be published later.



Eula Alice Denmark

La Grande



Eula Alice Denmark, 86, of La Grande, died Feb. 7 at her residence with family by her side. No services are planned at this time. Eula was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Brownwood, Texas, to George Hudy and Laura Margaret (Richmond) Harvey. Although Eula never graduated from any particular university, she was always auditing classes and receiving an eclectic education. 

Eula was employed as a bookkeeper for the majority of her life, even winning several awards from General Motors for her accounting prowess.

Eula took pleasure in several hobbies including playing bridge (avidly), bowling and reading. Eula also enjoyed following NFL football; in particular, she enjoyed placing bets with her son-in-law and always taking great pride whenever she won.

Eula was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Ellen Ewalt. 

Eula is survived by her son, Jim Howard, and his wife, Sharon, of Sumpter; daughters, Sharron Price and her husband, Doug, of La Grande, Shannon Ficken and her husband, Bill, of
La Grande, and Laurie Young of Elgin; sister, Myrna Hermann, also of La Grande; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Eula’s honor may be made to Grande Ronde Hospital Hospice in care of Loveland Funeral Chapel, 1508 Fourth St., 

La Grande, OR 97850.
