Lawrence ‘Jim’ Rogers

La Grande


Lawrence “Jim” Rogers, 69, of La Grande, died at an assisted living facility in La Grande Saturday.  Arrangements are under the direction of Tami’s Pine Valley Funeral Home.



Virginia Beeghly

Wallowa County


Virginia Beeghly, 84, of Wallowa County and formerly of Union County, died at Wallowa Memorial Hospital on Thursday. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Summerville Cemetery. Loveland Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements. A complete obituary will be published later.



Corrinne Marcheta Taylor




Corrinne Marcheta Taylor, 89, of Summerville, died Jan. 16 at Grande Ronde Hospital. At her request, no public services will be held.

Mrs. Taylor was born on April 29, 1924, to Earl and Icie M. (Thomas) Ross in Boise, Idaho. Icie divorced and later married Dan Malone. The family moved to Cle Elum, Wash., where Corrinne attended school.

After graduating from high school, Corrinne worked in the Seattle shipyards before marrying William I. Taylor on Aug. 12, 1944, in Cle Elum. 

In 1950, they moved their family to La Grande, where Corrinne worked as bookkeeper for several local car dealerships and businesses. Corrinne was a member of Credit Women, and enjoyed spending time with her family and camping and fishing. In 1976, William and Corrinne moved to Summerville, where they lived until their deaths.

Survivors include her children, Linda and Dennis Lovely of Hermiston and Dan and Julie Taylor of Summerville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and other relatives. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, her parents, a grandson, Michael Taylor in 1987, and her husband, William, in 2007.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Mountain Humane Association in care of Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation and Life Celebration Center.

Jerome M. Crocker, 62, La Grande, died Saturday, at Grande Ronde Hospital. A full obituary will be published later. Loveland Funeral Chapel & Crematory will be handling the arrangements.

Gail L. Eagen, 62, Wallowa, died Saturday at home. A full obituary will be published later. Loveland Funeral Chapel & Crematory will be handling the arrangements.
