Sharon Gedenini La Grande
Sharon Gedenini, 69, of La Grande, died Oct. 28 in Haines. Arrangements are under the direction of Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center.
Lee Roy O’Mohundro La Grande
Lee Roy O’Mohundro, 58, of La Grande, died Oct. 22 in Walla Walla, Wash. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 2 at Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center. Interment will follow at the Grandview Cemetery. A complete obituary will be published at a later date.
John C. Woods Cove
John C. Woods, 52, of Cove, died Oct. 27 at his residence. A complete obituary will be published at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Loveland Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
Douglas M. Leonard Formerly of La Grande 1975-2012
Douglas Michael Leonard, 37, of Bellevue, Wash., and formerly of La Grande, died Oct. 15 at his residence of natural causes. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Loveland Funeral Chapel & Crematory. Known as Doug, he was born May 11, 1975, in Portland to Robert and Jeanne (Ficker) Leonard. He grew up in La Grande and was a 1993 graduate of La Grande High School. He continued his education at Eastern Oregon University, Mount Hood Community College, Portland Community College and ITT. Doug’s favorite activities were hiking and researching genealogy, but fishing was his passion. He also enjoyed tennis and basketball. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Ella Ficker and Joseph and Libby Leonard. Survivors include his parents, Robert and Jeanne Leonard of La Grande; brother, Mark Leonard of Bellevue, Wash.; and aunts and uncles, Leon and June Ficker, Robert and Sandi Ficker, Nancy Leonard and Barbara and Chris Bahr. June Wilson Formerly of Richland
June Wilson, 89, of Chewelah, Wash., died in early October. June was raised in Wyoming. She worked for Sears as a home interior decorator, and in the 1950s she and her husband, Gilbert, ran the Chevron station in Richland following her father’s death. When she and Gilbert retired, they moved back to Richland until their move to Washington to be closer to their children.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Gilbert; children, Butch, Diane and Dawn, all of Washington; and sister, Jewel Koopman of
