Obituaries for the day of April 30, 2008

Carter, Cathey, Fleshman

 

 

 

Austin Daniel Carter, 12, of Union, died April 29 of unknown medical causes at Grande Ronde Hospital. A full obituary will be available later. Loveland Funeral Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Laura Louise Cathey, 101, of Ontario and formerly of La Grande, died April 28 at Wellsprings Assisted Living Facility in Ontario.

Graveside services begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Baker City. Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette, Idaho, is in charge of arrangements.

George Fleshman, 83, of La Grande, died April 24 in Walla Walla. A memorial service was held earlier today.

He belonged to the American Legion Post 43 and the Sierra Club in addition to many other organizations.

Daniels-Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center is in charge of arrangements.
