McPhee, Black
Ardyth ‘Hope’ McPhee Formerly of North Powder Ardyth “Hope” McPhee, 79, of Reno and formerly of North Powder, died Aug. 11 at Elko, Nev. A graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at North Powder Cemetery. Viewing will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Gray’s West and Company. Memorial contributions may be made to Elko Senior Citizen Center, to Elko Hospice or to any animal rescue organization in care of Gary’s West and Company, 1500 Dewey Ave., Baker City 97814.
La Grande 1959-2009 Kim Allen Black, 49, of La Grande, died Aug. 4 at his residence. Services were already held. Kim was born Oct. 29, 1959, to Garnett and Leona (Pearson) Black in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He never married, but found pleasure in buying and selling huckleberries. He is survived by his mother, Leona J. Pearson of La Grande; his twin brother, Tim J. Black of La Grande; other siblings and their spouses, Dan and Ruby Black of Kellogg, Idaho, Larry and Holly Black of Florence, Genie and Gary Seymour of Kellogg, Idaho, Lenora and George Houser of Bend, Tina and Lue Street of Hermiston and Christine Montero of Eugene; half-sisters and their spouses, Karen and Dean Johanson of Chalander; Ariz., and Ruth and Roger Baker of Kellogg, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Loveland Funeral Chapel, 1508 Fourth St., La Grande 97850, to assist with funeral expenses.
