Barbara Ann Wheeler-Sullivan, 69, of La Grande, died Aug. 1 at her home. A full obituary will be available later. Loveland Funeral Chapel & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Margaret Yates

Summerville

1926-2011

Margaret Yates, 84, lifelong resident of Summerville, died July 28 at a care center in La Grande. A graveside service was held Monday at the Summerville Cemetery.

Margaret was born Dec. 14, 1926, at La Grande to Arthur and Ardra (Littreal) Behrens.

Thoes who knew her say she was a tireless worker on the family farm near Summerville. She was an active member of the Summerville Baptist Church. She excelled in needlework and enjoyed putting together crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Goode of Sheridan, Wyo.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Summerville Baptist Church or any charity in care of Daniels-Knopp, 1502 Seventh St., La Grande 97850.
