Ogden, Cochrane, Weeks, Everidge

Feb. 6 — Adarene Ogden, celebration of life, 10 a.m., Cove United Methodist Church

Feb. 6 — Shawn Cochrane, services, 2 p.m., Eastern Oregon Livestock Club House, Union; potluck reception to follow



Wilma Doris Weeks, 90, of La Grande, died Feb. 4 at her home. A celebration of life will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Valley Fellowship.

A complete obituary will be available later. Loveland Funeral Chapel & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.


Imogene Spencer Everidge, 86, of Baker City and formerly of La Grande, died Feb. 1 at Settler’s Park Assisted Living Community in Baker City. Her memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.

Imogene was born Oct. 13, 1923, to Noble W. and Verna (Jones) Spencer in Wapato, Wash. She graduated from Wapato High School and on July 4, 1943, she married C. Herman Everidge.

Imogene worked for The Observer in the mailroom for many years. After she  retired, she ran a motor route for several years. She moved to Baker City in 2004 and lived with her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed fishing and crafts and was involved with the Elkhorn Baptist Church and the Rebekah Lodge. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts when her boys were in scouting.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and John Smith of Baker City; son and daughter-in-law, Vernon and Terry Everidge of La Grande; and son, Frank Everidge of La Grande; brother, Delbert Spencer of Fairbanks, Alaska; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Herman Everidge; brother, William Spencer; three sisters, Mary Keyes, Kathleen Parashall and Doreen Burgess; and granddaughter, Teressa Everidge.

Memorial contributions may be made to any charity through Gray’s West & Co. Pioneer Chapel 1500 Dewey Ave., Baker City 97814.
