Joseph

A celebration of life for Leonard Samples, 76, of Joseph, who died April 28, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wallowa Lake State Park.

A potluck and jam will follow. Attendees are asked to bring a side dish, a musical instrument and folding chairs. Table service, meat and drinks will be provided.

In Len’s memory, a park bench will be placed near his old barber shop on Main Street.

Martha Lucille Lawton, 95, of La Grande, died July 4 at her home. Services will be held at a later date in California. A full obituary will be available later.
