Don was born Nov. 4, 1945, in Tacoma, Wash. His parents were Robert “Bob” and Evelyn Hall. The family moved to Eastern Oregon in the late ‘50s eventually making their home in Perry. Don attended school at Greenwood Elementary and La Grande Junior High. He graduated from La Grande High School in 1966. During his senior year, Don joined the Army National Guard and served for several years. He was honorably discharged in 1994. In high school, Don met his life-long love. Don married Charlene Smith in December 1966 in La Grande. Their family grew to four with the birth of a daughter in 1970 and a son in 1973. Over the years, the family lived in five states. With Don’s love of adventure, they had opportunities to travel and explore the states. He worked hard at advancing in his professional career. For the past several years he has lived in Tri-Cites, Wash., working in the Hanford area as a project scheduler. Don was looking forward to retiring at the end of the summer. He lived for fishing, clamming, crabbing and every kind of hunting he could think of, especially with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Charlene; daughter, Rhonda; his son, Jeff and his wife, Nancy; three grandchildren; sisters, Linda Page, Jacque Madison and Monaca Hall; brother, Sonny Miles; and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Hall; and father, Robert Hall.
Union 1936-2011
Henry was born Dec. 25, 1936, in Lawton, Okla., to Julius Cleadon and Mildred (Sherrill) Williams. He married Peggy Jean Hulsey on June 7, 1958, in Boring. They were later sealed in the Seattle Temple on May 21, 1988. Henry was employed with Precast in Portland until his retirement in 1995. At that time, he and Peggy moved to Union, where they enjoyed serving as camp hosts for the U.S. Forest Service and Oregon state parks. Henry and Peggy were married for 47 years. She died in 2006. Henry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held many positions over the years. He served his country in the U.S. military. His favorite pastime was prospecting. He enjoyed searching with his metal finder, and he liked guns. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; and his parents, Julius and Mildred. Memorial contributions may be made to the missionary fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in care of Loveland Funeral Chapel.
