Patrick Michael Kelley

La Grande

1939-2012

 

Patrick Michael Kelley, 72, of La Grande, died March 23 at Boise, Idaho. A service will run from noon to 3 p.m. April 21 at Union County Senior Center. A service will be held later in Portland.

He was born Nov. 10, 1939, to Tom and Imogene Kelley at Pasadena, Calif. He moved to Leavenworth, Kan., when he was 11. He worked as a painter in Kansas, Indiana and Oregon. 

He served six years in the Navy from 1957 to 1963. 

He married Patricia Jane (Russell) Kelley July 22, 1961, in Miami, Okla. He and his wife raised six children in the Bloomfield, Ind., area. He moved to Oregon in 1990, where he retired.

Pat loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed restoring old furniture and singing and playing the guitar. He loved spending time with his family. 

He was a Jehovah Witness.

Survivors include Patricia Kelley; children, Debora Chesterfield, Dwayne Kelley, Diana Maple, Donna Elliott, Linda and Gregory Heath and Patrick Kelley; siblings, Jerry Kelley, Nancy Miller and Dan Kelley; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
