1972-2009

Jeremy Michael Gray, 36, of Portland and formerly of La Grande, died May 19 after a long illness.

A private graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hilgard Pioneer Cemetery. Omega Funeral Services of Portland and Daniels-Knopp Funeral, Cremation and Life Celebration Center are in charge of arrangements.

Jeremy was born Nov. 4, 1972, to John and Penny (McCall) Gray in Walla Walla. Jeremy attended vocational schools in La Grande and in Portland. He enjoyed the great outdoors and was active in the Special Olympics.

He was known for his great sense of humor and practical jokes.

Rodeka and Victor Dragulin and family provided loving care for Jeremy.

Jeremy is survived by his father and stepmother, John and Renate Gray of La Grande; mother, Penny Stanley of Walla Walla; brother, Chris Gray and his wife, Trish, and their son, of Milton-Freewater; grandparents, John and Jean Gray of La Grande; and many aunts and uncles.
